School Sports Mark
We are delighted to announce that Lythe CE VC Primary School has been awarded the School Games Silver Mark Award for 2026, recognising our commitment to providing high-quality physical education, school sport and opportunities for all children to be active.
This achievement reflects the hard work and enthusiasm of our pupils, staff, parents and the wider community in promoting healthy, active lifestyles and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to enjoy and succeed in sport.
We are particularly proud that during the 2025–26 academic year:
- 100% of pupils in Years 1 to 6 represented the school in a sporting competition, festival or event.
- 100% of pupils in Years 1 to 6 participated in swimming lessons, developing an important life skill whilst building confidence in and around water.
At Lythe, we believe that sport plays a vital role in developing teamwork, resilience, confidence and determination. Whether competing in local events, taking part in festivals, learning new skills in PE lessons or enjoying swimming sessions, our children continually demonstrate excellent attitudes and a willingness to challenge themselves.
This award is a testament to the inclusive sporting opportunities we provide and our commitment to ensuring every child can participate, achieve and flourish.
A huge thank you goes to our staff, sports coaches, volunteers, parents and local partners who help make these opportunities possible. Most importantly, congratulations to all of our pupils, whose enthusiasm, effort and sporting spirit have made this award possible.
