Our Ethos Group

This is an important piece of pupil leadership and consists of a group of children, staff, governors and parents who work to keep our school vision and values under review and take a lead on how we live these out in our daily school life.  As well as taking charge of Collective Worship, a big piece of work in 2023 was re-writing our Vision Statement into a helpful shorter version:  Be the best you can be and let your light shine. This has formed the foundation of our new school badge.

Last year our Ethos Group aimed to take the 'Christian Values' out into our community and support those around us. We showed 'generosity' by collecting food and then delivering to Whitby Food Bank, we showed 'kindness' by coordinating a litter pick in our local community and then showed 'friendship' and 'compassion' by visiting a local old persons home to read with them and play games.
